Track your case

Once a vehicle has entered the Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV) program, importers can track the progress of their vehicle using the RIV Track Your Case tool.

In addition to showing the status of a vehicle in the RIV program, importers will be able to access the RIV inspection form once all required documentation and payment have been received by RIV.

To view the status of a case, enter the case number (found in the upper right corner of your Vehicle Import Form – Form 1 and the last six digits of the vehicle’s vehicle identification number (VIN).

Please note that it may take up to 24 hours (Monday – Friday, excluding statutory holidays) after a transaction before an updated status is available through Track Your Case.
